Scary Spooky Dinner

The Spooky and scary dinner put on by Jessica and Cindy. Really it was such a great meal, Thanks guys for putting all this together!

Aleksandra loving the night and the awesome idea of pumpkin craving.

The girls, minus Camille who came a little bit later.

The little girls, minus Sofi. All playing so well, makes me happy she can join in their bbf club!

The girls doing the dirty work.

The worst part of craving a pumpkin is scooping out the insides. And some how I got roped into it this year (where is MIKE)?

My thought from the other day

Life Lesson #135674835
(LEARNED)

Sometimes it's OK to go to bed angry.

Sometimes it's OK to go to bed angry.
 I'm a pretty stubborn person.
I can stay mad for quite some time if I want to.

Because of this it was no surprise that when Mike and I sat down before getting married he indicated that he would like me to include a promise to "never go to bed angry".  I thought:  Sure.  That sounds like a good thing to promise.  Why would I want to go to bed angry anyway?  That sounds miserable.

Fast forward 3 years.... I now know exactly why I'd want to go to bed angry.  Sometimes I'm just way too freaking irritated and exhausted to work things out right then and there and I know that if I have to talk to Mike any more at that moment I might go postal on him.

Now, before you get all "that's just going to cause repressed issues" on me in the comments, let me explain....

I am a huge advocate for fighting fair and fighting quickly.  I think that hashing out problems as they arise is key to a happy and healthy marriage.  BUT, fighting when you're tired and grumpy is NOT fair....especially if you turn into a completely irrational jerk like I do.

I don't go to bed angry often, but when it's late and I know I'm probably just being an emotional basket case due to lack of sleep, I know it's better to sleep on it and then talk it out in the morning.  Usually by then though, I don't even remember what I was so upset about anyway.

Everything looks brighter in day light :).

Park City Getaway

I am so grateful for my employers they really are the most giving and grateful people ever! After we canceled our cruise, my employers told us they wanted to pay for our weekend away in Park City. They didn't have to do this but did it out of the kindness of their hearts and it makes me feel so blessed. Thanks you so much Brock, Rachele, T and C.

So we decided to take them up on their offer and enjoy a fall getaway up in PC. Lets just say it was a much needed getaway for the both of us. It was nice to reconnect and realize what the most important thing is in our relationship.

We started our trip and check into the Waldorf Astoria, checked out our room (Jumped on the bed, jk) And then headed to go get dinner at Spruce. We ate till our tummies where so HAPPY. I have never had such amazing food in my life or fancy. Then we headed to the hot tub and then past out baby free, it was amazing!

The next day we slept into 10 a.m, and I woke up and we ordered room service. It was so fun to have breakfast in bed. Mostly it was just nice to not have to cook or do the dishes, plus the food was too good to be true. Then I headed to their gym in the hotel, I don't think I have ever been to such a preppy gym! I hurried and did my work out and then bolted back to the room.

Once I got back to the room I had to drag Mike out of bed, which was a huge PAIN in the butt! I just wanted to go play and do something especially while we didn't have baby. Once I finally got him up and ready to go we headed to Main street shopped and then to the outlets and shopped. Then back to hotel for nap time, did I ever mention how much I LOVE naps. Then we just relaxed at the hotel until we met up with the Gowdy's and had dinner on Main Street and then went to the haunted house. After the haunted house the Gowdy's came back to the hotel and we all got into the hot tub.

Sunday came and once again we slept in (I think I could get use to this schedule). Then we got ready and had breakfast at the Hub in Heber and headed down Provo Canyon to go get Aleksandra from my parents.

All in all such a great getaway, we are so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives who care about us so much. Thanks again to my Employers, your the best!
The coolest carpet I have ever seen in my life.
We really missed Aleksandra, and found our selfs at Dolly's bookstore on Main street to buy Aleksandra some books. She was quite the fan of the books we picked out for her. We love you Miss. Aleksandra.

Park City Main street.

Of course we had to hit the outlets for some shopping. Mike ROLLED his eyes the whole time but I was loving it!

My most Favorite walk in PC, I would walk it everyday when I lived there.
The Tunnel of LOVE, Mike and I use to call it that back in the day. People use to write there names all over this tunnel with a heart around their names. We wrote our name back in the day but it had been painted over.

The beautiful fall colors, so breathe taking.
Just the two of us, xoxo.

So SEXY, Mikey cleaning out my car!

Eating out on Main street, with the Gowdy's.

After dinner with the Gowdy's we all went to a haunted house under Main Street, SUPER SPOOKY!

Leaving the Waldorf, So sad to leave!

Life Flight

It really pays to know people, and get some fun hook ups. Aleksandra and T loved playing in the Helicopter, they both cried when it was time to go. Now every time we see a Helicopter they think it's the same one they got to play on.
The Life Flight Helicopter we got to go on.
Aleksandra on the Helicopter, and Al in her PJs because she spilt milk on her clothes I promise I don't leave her on PJs all day.
So happy, and feeling big.
Looking up at all the cool buttons wanting to touch everything.
In front of the Helicopter.

Nose

Aleksandra was at the JCC climbing the steps and slipped perfectly and hit the bridge of her nose. She held her breathe for so long after hitting her nose I knew it was bad. Then came a ton of blood and then her nose started swelling like crazy! I called Mike and then we decided to rush her to the ER. I didn't want to take any chances especially with it being so close to her brain. The doctors didn't want to giver her a xray because they said the radiation levels are too high for a kid this little. So they just looked in her nose. Checked her ears, eyes, and balance. They said no concussion, but her nose is broken and only time will tell how it will heal and what it will look like down the road. So now we play the waiting game.

Thanks to everyone who called with concerns we love you guys so much!
Our first time to the hospital for Aleksandra since giving birth to her.
Daddy felt bad, and took her to go get ice cream the moment she got home. She has him wrapped around her finger! She is always so happy in dads arms.
You can see how swollen her nose is. Man my heart hurts when I look at her! I hate when kids get hurt.
Poor nose, but she is so happy to have her ice cream cone!

Amazing friends, brought over these Tombstone brownies to brighten our day, and tummies. They sure know how to make us feel better!

And this book is official her new favorite book. We read 3 times straight the first night. And the second night I lost count. Thanks Wassons.

Potty training doesn't stop even if you are out for frozen custard!
Just because your taking a number 2, doesn't mean you have to stop eating frozen custard RIGHT?
Cute Linz, feeding Aleksandra.
Now Linz is feeding Haley (maybe forcing)!
Yep just another day at the De Rosa's.
