T2

I guess living so close to Temple Square it's only natural that we go.
The best part was we got to leave baby with Grandma so we didn't have be pushing a annoying stroller around trying to keep baby warm ever second.
We got to go with a great group of friends and have fun for the night,
well I guess a little fun since I froze for half of it!
Mikey and I @ T2

Idaho

We headed to Idaho for Mike's friends who he met in Poland when he was on his Mission. He was so excited to catch up with everyone and speak Polish he couldn't wait. I on the other hand was not looking forward to the drive and plus I was so sick that week.

But we made the drive down, and stayed at Mikes mission buddies house. They where so nice to let us stay. Plus they had a little boy that Aleksandra just fell in love with. Even when we left she kept asking for him. Thanks Anderson's for letting us stay with you.

We had a great time at the wedding catching up with old friends, and stuffing our face at the local pizza parol (all you can eat pizza for 6 bucks) oh boy I am getting hungry! And going to a great sealing for two people who are amazing for each other.
Mike driving, me bored. The snow was so bad we could only go 30-45 on the freeway.

New Addition on Christmas Eve

Aleksandra and our new addition to our family, her new baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa Aragon. And also cute Aleksandra in her Christmas PJ's and slippers.
Alaina, Cohen, and Dustin came down to Payson to join us for dinner. I am so glad they came to dinner.

Christmas Morning

Christmas was so fun this year, since Aleksandra really got into opening presents. I really loved watching her reaction when she saw something she really loved underneath the wrapping paper.
What a great Christmas we all had together this year!
Got to open up the gift Miss. Finley gave her and she LOVES it.

Date Night

Me and the hubbs, got to sneak away Christmas day
and go see a movie since Grandma is in town.
It was so nice to just be with him on a date.
I snuck a picture before the date was over of
evidence that we actually get out
on dates!
Love you Mikey.

26

I have always hated my birthday on Christmas Eve, but I try to make the best of it while sharing it with the holidays. As it turned out this year was amazing. I had so many great friends come over with gifts, and so may text and birthday wishes.
I really have such great friends (thanks everybody)!

Last year I did dinner with these two lovely ladies and we decided to continue the tradition with breakfast this year. We had a blast catching up and laughing over some amazing pancakes and eggs.

The best part was when Mike randomly stopped in and surprised me with birthday flowers. I was shocked because Mike is not a man of surprises, man I love him.
The girls and their babies at breakfast.

Ice Skating

We got invited by some friends to come skate on there private roof top ice skating deck so we hopped on this chance in a heart beat.
We had a great night as a family and Aleksandra loved every minute of it.
Aleksandra, walking on the ice.

Day 3

As we hit day 3 of No Binky,
I finally realize how mental this really is for the parents
and how fine this really is for the child.

Aleksandra has been fine and is learning to soothe and calm herself in new ways.
I am learning to take deep breathes and relax.

It's funny how I am the one wanting to stick that Binky back into her mouth
because she is crying or being loud in moments I want her to be quiet.

Then I have to realize this is for her own good.
I don't want my child to only be able to cope with a Binky.
Day 3 down and hopefully more to come.
Cross your fingers everyone, that I make it.

Bed

We have been debating on wither too put her in a big girl bed or not.
So we decided to give it a trial run in T's bed while he was at school.
She loved it and kept saying "BIG BOY" as she laid in his bed.
She feel asleep within ten minutes and never got out of bed.
I guess we know that she is ready to switch beds now.
No we just have to get around to switching it this week.

Night 1

Tonight was night one with out a Binky.
She cried herself to sleep and everything was fine.
We ended up cutting the nipple off the Binky.
So that way she still had her Binky but couldn't suck on it.
She just kept saying "Binky broken".
She is growing up before our eyes and I can't get over it.
A huge thanks to Jayleen for the idea on cutting the Binky.

Ankle

Where to begin?
So lately I have pretty upset/disappointed, yes me I am a baby!

So my ankle has been KILLING me non stop now.
And finally I made a doctors appointment while I had sometime off work.

So then I went to the doctors appointment
the doctor then takes some X-Rays of my ankle.
He checks it out and says "Oh MAN Hollie"
And I say "well, lay it on thick".
I should of thought twice before saying that.

Rewind 5 years ago, I broke my ankle in a car wreck and now it has
8 screws, 2 pins, 2 plates, and some wire holding it together.
Really I am lucky to have an ankle, and I thank God everyday for my life, and ankle.

Anyway as we are sitting there in the doctors office and the doctor looks at me
and looks back and forth at the new and old x-rays.
He says that my ankle is not looking good at all.
He says I am looking at getting my ankle fused in 10 years.

There in that Ankle office, I broke down!
I know it sounds stupid but who really wants a fused ankle at age 36?
I tried keeping the tears back, but I couldn't I just cried.

So now begins the process of physical therapy all over again.
Twice a week, at 7 am I am in that office trying to prolong me getting my Ankle fused.

Then this morning I am in the Doctors office again, and another big blow.
The doctor says I can't run anymore.
He said running is the dumbest thing I could ever do on my ankle.
Most likely he said this is what caused all the pain and problem to reoccur.

So for now I am trying to remain cheerful and strong.
Even though my emotions want to take over.
And all I want to do is hide myself lately.

Sledding

We all got bundled up and headed outside for some sledding. Aleksandra and T hopped into the double sled and loved every minute of it. It's so fun now that Aleksandra is old enough to go sledding and really enjoy it.
Aleksandra and T sitting on the sled. This is how Aleksandra wanted to sit but I kept telling her how she may fall off, and she could care less. She just wanted to see Thomas the whole time.
T and A going down the hill on the sled.
The cute little duo at the bottom of the hill.
Cute little team.

papa

Papa (aka Mike's Dad) stop by for a quick visit and we got to enjoy his company and have so much fun together. We wish his visit could have been longer but we made do on what time we had with him.
Aleksandra loves him so much she always cries for him, and just can't get enough of this guy. They are totally BFF's.
We love you Papa
Thanks for everything you do for our little family.
Snapping a quick photo at dinner, CHEESE!
Aleksandra and her Papa, we love him so much.

Minnie & Mickey

This girl is one lucky girl!
My Employers went to Disneyland
And brought back a Mickey Mouse Shirt
And a baby Minnie mouse.
Lets just say they know her so well.
She hasn't let that Minnie go for a second.
And she always wakes up and wants to wear the Mickey shirt again.
We are so loved and it's nice to have someone care about our child so much.
Thanks for Everything, we love you R, B, T & C

My big girl in her new favorite shirt.
She is saying Mickey Mouse her and trying to smile.

Busy

hey, all.

wow.  we are busy.

today was much better than yesterday with all the sickness stuff.
i think a lot of rest and drinking water helped me get rid of that sore throat and i haven't (yet) gotten all congested like Mike.

maybe i'll skip that part and not actually come down with a full blown cold.

good thing, 'cause this week is madness!!

Mike has two massive finals this week which he has been studying 24/7 for.

Aleksandra is busy as always.
She can officially count to ten and sing her ABC's.
She is no longer walking she is RUNNING & jumping all the time.

in other news, our house is mess.

dishes (always) need to be done,

and we are currently surviving on one working light bulb in our bedroom.

three have burned out.
sometimes it's hard to see in there.

we are just hoping that it will last until we find the time to go buy some.

speaking of shopping, we haven't been legitimately grocery shopping since November 17(when Mike's Mom was here)
that's really bad, people.

someday, maybe i'll learn to like grocery shopping.

anyway, just thought i would pop in and say hello.

does anyone else feel extremely disorganized in december?

that's me... every year.

We have only bought 3 gifts for Christmas.

We haven't had one second to shop for Christmas.
And there are less then 2 weeks till Christmas.

stop the madness.

Puppy Chow

Tonight puppy chow was for dinner

Happy First Birthday Kylee, we love you so MUCH!
She was so happy to eat that cupcake, she wouldn't let go of it!

And Aleksandra sat at this little kid table the majority of the night, happy as a clam. She kept switching back and forth between her cupcake and ice cream cone.

on the floor,
while my Dad is telling
her the story of
Baby Jesus
and looking at the Nativity.
Too precious for words
We love you Papa.

Girls Night

Best girls night to date. The hotel was already booked Thursday night and couldn't be canceled so we took advantage of a night out of the house
and away from the everyday mundane.
We got cozy watching a movie together.
It's fun now that she is old enoung becasue she watched the movie
all the way through and she even laughed at the funny parts.
Aleksandra styaed up way past her bedtime but it was way worth it.
As we all know that is what girls nights are about.
The next day we got to go swimming at the hotel
which she loved to pieces espeically since the pool was so warm and no one
was in it (thank you business travelers).
We ate at the hotels nice breakfast buffet and made sure we
had full stomachs before our naps.
It turned out to be an awesome night and very refreshing escape.
I learned from this was all in all my family is all that matters in life.
I don't need anyone but them and couldn't be happier.
Thanks Aleksandra for such a fun girls night!
Watching a Movie and eating Popcorn, Yum Yum!
Our delicious microwave popcorn that was perfect for our girls night!
My best girlfriend EVER.
Us getting ready to go to bed.

Yogurt

This is how Aleksandra has been eating her yogurt lately
even though she is totally self sufficient with a spoon.
It's more of a clean up for me, but it makes her happy!

Ginger bread

For tonight's Achievement Days activity we did Ginger bread houses and a huge shout out for Jean for making these for us. Usually a normal person would go and buy one from a box but know she just loves these girls so much and she is amazing and talented she made them from scratch. These girls really got to reap the benefit of her hard work Thanks Jean, for doing this for us!

These girls loved every minute and the minute they saw these ginger bread houses their tongues and hearts melted. We really are so lucky to have so many amazing people who help us donate their time and energy to these girls thanks everyone.
All the girls getting ready to decorate their house.
In the middle of decorating. I can actually say I have never seen these girls focus so hard and work so hard on something. All I had to do was sit back and eat the candy and make sure Aleksandra didn't eat too much candy!
The group with all there finished houses.
Valentina and Shalia, so proud of themselves.

Marrissa and Dejash giggling with joy. They where so excited to go show there parents.
