All Aboard

Before we could even buy the Train ticket she was trying to climb in.
She wouldn't look at the camera.

She thought the Train conductor was so cool she wouldn't stop staring at him.
And the second the second picture is a classic De Rosa picture!

The train getting ready to leave the Forever 21 train station.
Mike is having a great time!
She kept moving all OVER the train and wouldn't hold still. She wanted to see every part of the train she was too excited!
Here she is at an another part of the train!
Here they are zipping through the Mall. Aleksandra kept waving to everyone in the mall.
Choo Chooooooo
So proud that she just got to ride the Train.
And the Wheatleys that joined us for our mall/train adventure.

My 2010 Thankful

I am thankful to be graced with the most beautiful little being, my daughter Aleksandra. Sure, she brings chaos and randomity to the lives of myself and Mike but she is a joy. So cute. And such a gifted little being. I see in her eyes a joy and, in many ways, a wisdom about life that too many of us have forgotten as we’ve gotten older. Aleksandra gets it and it is my mission to ensure she can continue to have that spirit, to succeed and to pursue happiness as she sees fit. Yes, I love my little girl.

I am thankful for my husband Mike. Him and I come from totally opposite backgrounds, him being from New York and myself being from Illinois/Utah with a larger family. Like any husband and wife, we but heads sometimes. Mike however, is the yin to my yang. As I’ve said before, if we could combine the two of us into a single person, we’d be the perfect person.

I am thankful for my parents. My parents did such a wonderful job raising my brothers, sister and I. Neither Joe, Terry, Katie, nor I would have had the foundation to do what we do now were it not for them. It is a debt that can never be repaid, even though my father jokes that we’re repaying it now by raising our kids and letting them just enjoy the cute parts!

I really do have a ton to be thankful for and the list could go on for days. From the simple pleasures in life to the necessity that we need. All in all I am thankful for my life, my job, Christ, and our home that keeps my family safe and warm.

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we had Thanksgiving at my parents down in Payson. It was nice to have plain stuffing from a box, and have food with no mushrooms. It was a nice and fun visit with the family. Love them all and so thankful for all of them and everything they bring to the table.
My cute family at Thanksgiving dinner, well minus a few.

Mom and Aunt Tamie putting Olives on the kids hands. They always love that until they bite those cute little fingers.

One of my favorite De Rosa Thanksgiving traditions, shrimp tray always a huge hit!
Me and my little sister.
Mikey and his red track suite he wears every Holiday. He loves the stretchy pants and the festive colors! If only this track suite were velor, we would be in heaven!

Aleksandra, Scarlett, and Evan all playing together!
Grandpa Aragon and Kylee playing with the fan strings.
One thing I am so grateful for is this handsome thing!
Yummy Thanksgiving dinner.
My sister with her Tofurkey she made.
And of course I have to put this on her to just to bug Tamie, man I love her so much! Really my brother couldn't have married any better she is too amazing!

Thanksgiving 5k

Yes, your reading this right. It was 8 degrees outside and it was freezing cold and we where about to run a race!

Beka, and I in the car getting pumped for the race.
Us and the Wheatleys

Me and Beka with Mr. Turkey himself!

After the race there was this guy running with no shorts. He said he was a tribal Indian on his horse but I just thought he was CRAZY!

Cute Wheatleys with Mr. Turkey.

All of us at the finish line, go Us!

Friends

Sometimes you just need a girlfriend to chew on dolls with you
to sit in a bassinet with you
Drool with you
Talk girl talk with you
And best of all have a girl that will be your good friend.

I just love these two girls, xoxo!

Snow is quiet

Aleksandra is loud
CRY BABY
Yes, she is way sad, and no she didn't sit her longer then this photo.

Going out to play out in the snow
This was before she fell in the snow and cried FYI.

Aleksandra and Daddy when the storm was first coming in.

And notice how backwards these photos and whole event are in order?
But for today I am in a back wards kind of mood
Especially as my child is jumping off the couch into
 a bunch of blankets
I can only focus
so
much!

Pre Holiday

We had fun setting up the Christmas tree this year, with the snow coming in it set the mood and I couldn't help myself. It's fun now because now that Aleksandra is old enough she really gets into Holidays and it makes it so much more fun!
My favorite family traditions, ever year since I was born my Mom has bought us an Hallmark ornament. And every year that ornament has to to with something special or a memory about that year. And then on the inside of the box my Mom writes why the ornament is special with a sweet message inside. So every Christmas I have so much fun reading every ornament box and it brings me back it's the best!
So we have decide to continue this tradition with Aleksandra and it's been to fun picking out the ornament and writing her the message on the box why that certain ornament is special for that year. I just hope she LOVES it as much as I do.

Here is Aleksandra loving the new penguin ornament.
This is Aleksandra 2010 ornament, it represents all the times we went to the Zoo this year. All the love she has for animals, and all the animals sounds she can say which is too many. We thought this would bring back good memories of all the fun times this year.

First Hair Cut

Aleksandra getting her first hair cut other then the hack job I did on her bangs!

She did awesome, she held still and watched Thomas the Tank Engine while the lady worked her magic on her hair.

She put pig tails in her hair, they where the cutest thing EVER. I just never do pig tails because  A. They don't look like Finley's and B. I can NEVER get my kid to hold still.

Just too cute

So big, with pig tails, and now with 2 inches cut off her hair!

Happy Monday

This is where we eat dinner as a family.
We go where to works for Aleksandra.
My ten dollar table table that I found at a consignment shop
needs to be repainted asap.
Anway this lovely dinner on Monday was followed by
A great FHE with some couples from our ward
and then a stroll through the mall.
Such a great Monday!

Beehive

Picked up this sweet little number for Aleksandra. It's called the beehive of course but it brings back a lot of memories of my teaching days at Soaring Wings Montessori. I hope she will like this as much as I do! I guess we will have to wait till Christmas time to find out!

Dinner, Harry, & Shopping

Everyone at dinner, minus Mike since he was doing on a report on Coal mining oh wait I mean Digital mining, poor guy!

Our digs for the night. We decided to spend the night in Sandy since it was closer to the theater we where going to. And plus it was fun to stay with the Ivins and just be baby free for the night.

Getting a little too settled into the hotel!

Yes we wore this to the theater, and yes our poor husbands where embarrassed.
Harry we are almost there!
The boys getting really excited.
The famous stretch pants, and matching socks SO HOT!
Waiting for Harry Plotter to start the anticipation is killing us!
Yes it's Harry Potter, with a 32 ounce of butterbeer.
This is after the movie, it was so windy we look like we are in a wind tunnel. I am sure you are sick of face shots of us, but just in case here are some more.
Sweet Tomatoes, a girls best friend after her hubby and diamonds of course! After shopping all morning we had to go get some good food to refuel.

Cute Jess
And me, and also proof that I don't just wear pj's out all the time!
